Join us for a two-hour, interactive training about such topics as empathy and exploring different points of view. We will discover ways to de-escalate tension, including examining communications styles. Small group work, brainstorming, and role plays will make our learning experiential.

Facilitator: Margy Willen
For 17 years, Margy Willen has presented 2-day, experiential workshops on living without violence to men and women incarcerated in three NM prisons. The workshops are designed by a national and international organization called Alternatives to Violence Project. The focus of the workshops is enhancing self-awareness and practicing skills that resolve conflict situations creatively and without violence. She is a retired state employee who lived and worked for 24 years in eastern New Mexico before retiring to Santa Fe.
