40-hour Beginning Mediation Certification Course @ In-person
Jun 24 – Jun 28 all-day

Date/Time/Location: June 24 – 28, 2024 (8:30 am – 4:30 pm each day) in Albuquerque

Intended Audience: This 5-day, in-person, interactive course is for State of New Mexico employees who are interested in mediating for the ADR Bureau, serving state employees and the State of New Mexico. As a state employee, there is no cost to attend this training with the expectation that graduates will volunteer for our program. We are asking graduates to mediate at least once a quarter (and more if their schedule allows). Seats are limited and those interested will need to apply (we anticipate more interest than we have seats for). For more information including how to apply, please contact us at ADR.Bureau@gsd.nm.gov.

What is Mediation?
A powerful, effective method for solving problems, resolving disputes, understanding differences, enhancing communication, and building trust.

Mediation Training…
Teaches a way of looking at differences and their resolution that values diverse points-of-view and appreciates the opportunities involved in human cooperation and creativity.
Mediation teaches a coherent set of life skills and attitudes that can improve all your relationships.
This course results in a certificate of completion and qualifies graduates to mediate in multiple programs.

How you will learn…participation required!
You will practice mediation in hands-on, small group role-plays coached by an experienced mediator.
Classroom discussions, demos and exercises are interactive.
