Defensive Driving
All state officers and employees must successfully complete a 6‐hour
National Safety Council Certified Defensive Driving Course prior to operating any state vehicle or privately owned vehicle for state business. For a list of upcoming classes, their locations and online registration form, click on the courses offered below;
6 hour Defensive Driving Course – offered to new state officers and employees.
4 hour Refresher Defensive Driving Course - offered to state officers and employees who have already taken the 6‐hour DDC.

Featuring Quik‐Ride For Your Short‐Term Vehicle Use

Mid and full‐sized sedans, mini‐vans, and cargo vans are available for short‐term use to authorized state, municipal, county, or university employees. Our vehicles are clean and regularly inspected by ASE certified mechanics. Call in advance to reserve your Quik‐Ride vehicle as they are available on a first‐come first serve basis. Vehicles are available for lease by the hour, by the day, and up to six months.
Quik‐Ride began operations at the South Capitol Campus in 2009. A new location is planned to be in operation in the near future at the Central Capitol Area to expand the Quik‐Ride short‐term vehicle lease program and provide easy access for our customers.

Our low hourly rate of $3.88 includes fuel. We specialize in last minute reservations. All you need is your driver’s license, current defensive driving certificate, and your supervisor’s signature.
