This opportunity is offered to state employees at no cost with the expectation that they will serve as a volunteer mediator for the State of New Mexico’s RMD-ADR mediation program upon completion of the course.
Due to the nature of the training, registration will be limited. Please contact us at ADR.Bureau@gsd.nm.gov for more information.

Mediation is a powerful, effective method for solving problems, resolving disputes, understanding differences, and enhancing communication and trust as well as offers a set of transformative life skills.
This course will familiarize participants with the process and practice of mediation and give a working understanding of alternative dispute resolution.
We teach both a deep appreciation for the principles of conflict transformation and the practical application of mediation skills and techniques.
Hands-on practice and interactive discussions and exercises provide opportunity for mastery.

Cynthia Olson, former Director of The Albuquerque Mediation Center, an innovator in the field of ADR, and an internationally recognized educator, will be lead instructor.
