The U.S. federal government has issued a 50% relief on Reimbursable benefit charges through April 3, 2021 to state and local governmental entities, certain nonprofit organizations, and federally recognized Indian tribes. The state of New Mexico will match that relief with 50% resulting in a balance of $0.00 owed to the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions for any COVID related Reimbursable charges for the first quarter of 2021. A statement reflecting the updated balance for 2021 Quarter 1 (January 1, 2021 through April 3, 2021) will be sent the first week of May, 2021.

The U.S. federal government will also provide a 75% relief on Reimbursable benefit charges beginning the second quarter, April 4 through June 30, 2021. Employers will be required to pay 25% of their total Reimbursable charges for 2021 Quarter 2.
