(CAT 4) IT PLANNING and ANALYSIS SERVICES
Typical services include feasibility study, technology assessment, requirements definition, security,
cost-benefits analysis, gap analysis, contingency/risk planning, disaster recovery/business continuity,
planning, and testing.
(CAT 12) ELECTRONIC CONTENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES (ECM)
Typical services include ECM system/application/network assessment, design, development, implementation, integration,
and maintenance to include all or part of the following functionality: document imaging (OCR/ICR), document
management, electronic records management, workflow management, automated E-mail Archiving, Web Content Management,
Document-Centric Collaboration, E-forms, Digital Asset for audio video archiving, Integrated Document Archive &
Retrieval, Knowledge Management, and Digital/Electronic Signature Services.
(CAT 13) DOCUMENT CONVERSION SERVICES - ECM SYSTEMS
Typical services include conversion of hardcopy records in paper or microfilm format to digital image, to include;
scanning/imaging/digitizing paper or microfilm; document indexing; quality assurance; document/data conversion
(hardcopy to electronic or electronic to new system/media);data/image import; FTP posting; transportation, storage
and final disposition of hardcopy documents.
(CAT 15) DESKTOP SUPPORT SERVICES
Typical services include installation of Commercial off-the-shelf products (COTS), optimizing system performance, system
imaging (i.e.ghosting), desktop problem analysis and resolution, configuration, set-up and installation of "PCs"
(personal computer), printers, scanners, and other PC peripherals. The term "PC" (personal computer) is intended to
include common operating systems in business use, typically Windows variants and Linux variants. Support of leading-edge
(in February 2007, Vista) and end-of-life or near end-of-life OSs (NT, Windows 2000) operating systems is discouraged in
favor of mainstream OSs.
(CAT 17) SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
Typical IT services include planning, configuration and programming services in support of OS and utility installation for
operating systems to include but not limited to Windows, Solaris, HP/UX, AIX, and Linux open-source variants. Includes
planning and configuration in support of DMZs, file servers, application servers, and database servers, configuration of
services to allow only used services, disabling all un-needed services, both new installations and upgrading of existing
platforms for stability and to insure appropriate security patches and procedures have been applied. Also includes services
in support of computer storage devices such as storage area networks (SAN).
(CAT 19) NETWORK SERVICES
Typical services include communications services (e.g. VOIP technologies, wireless), LAN/WAN Integration, LAN/WAN Development
and Upgrade, and LAN/WAN Support. These services typically include communications systems, LAN business and technical
requirements, connectivity and interoperability, feasibility and constraints, security requirements, etc. In addition,
this includes, but is not limited to, the development of design documents pertinent to the integration of two or more LANs,
or the integration of two or more LANs via a WAN, conceptual and/or detailed design reports, network diagrams, etc.
Communications/LAN/WAN Support typically includes operation (on-site, off-site) and technical communications/LAN/WAN support;
communications/LAN/WAN problem determination and diagnosis.
(CAT 20) IT SECURITY SERVICES
Typical services include network security advising for design and review of LAN/WAN networks, Firewalls, Virtual Private
Networks (VPN), wireless access, development and review of Network and Data Policies and Procedures, network security LAN/WAN
scans, network penetration tests, DMZ configuration, honeypot configuration and monitoring. Includes testing of Routers,
mainframe systems security, open systems enterprise servers, Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Secure ID, Network
Intrusion Detection systems (IDS), other network appliances, Network policies and procedures, and evaluation and adherence
to system and user documentation and training programs.
Information and Instructions: All agencies under the Governor's jurisdiction are required to use the designated Save Smart contract awardees on an exclusive basis for all purchases of Information Technology Services within scope of the RFP specifications. Integrity Network Systems services may also be obtained from other Save Smart Price Agreements.
