2013 Spring Open/Switch Enrollment Information
This Spring, all employees are required to re-enroll in State Benefit Plans (or re-waive benefits) prior to the new plan year starting July 1, 2013. Open enrollment meetings will be held in April & May. Please see a list of scheduled meetings, carrier presentations/material, enrollment forms and other helpful documents at the link above.
This Administrative Guide will serve as direction for effective administration of the State of New Mexico’s Employee Benefit Package. It is provided for all Group Insurance Representatives and/or Payroll Clerks in the various State of New Mexico departments, agencies, bureaus and commissions and the Local Public Bodies covered by the State’s plan. To insure consistent and effective plan administration, all Group Insurance Representatives (Group Reps) should be familiar with the information provided in this manual and use it as a reference to answer questions. This guide is also available to employees to assist in eligibility rules and change options.
The State of New Mexico Disability policy is a self-insured plan which was created to provide financial assistance to those that due to a sickness or injury are unable to work for a period of time.
What Are My Benefit Options?
State of New Mexico employees and those employed by Local Public Bodies (LPB’S) covered by the State’s plan have a range of coverage options from which to choose. Please familiarize yourself with all of those coverage options by viewing the individual health plan overviews below. All State Employees in the Executive and Judicial branch of State Government are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program. Employees in the Legislative branch of Government may be eligible.
